Meet Calgary Optometrist,
Dr. Ravnoor Gill
Dr. Ravnoor Gill was born and raised in Calgary and her interest in optometry began at a very young age when she learned her love of reading also meant she needed glasses. Dr. Gill attended the University of Calgary where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and Minor in Chemistry. She went on to graduate with her Degree in Optometry from the University of Manchester and has been practicing in the Calgary area since 2014. Dr. Gill’s personal experience with near-sightedness has stemmed her passion for myopia management. She is also keenly aware of the impact dry eye has on quality of life and aims to provide effective solutions for her patients. Her goal is to consistently provide personalized patient care of the highest quality. Dr. Gill is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists, Alberta College of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Renile Chung – Optician
Meet Renile, our expert optician! Originally from Hong Kong, Renile began her career in the optical industry when she moved to the Yukon six years ago. After spending four years in the North, she has continued her journey as an optician in Calgary.
Renile takes great pleasure in assisting patients with their frame selection. She is patient, attentive to their needs, and offers expert recommendations for lenses to ensure each individual’s requirements are met.
With her extensive knowledge of eyewear, Renile is skilled in adjusting, repairing, and maintaining glasses. She always strives to find solutions and provide the best possible care for her patients. Fluent in English, Cantonese, Korean, and Mandarin, Renile is committed to delivering exceptional service by communicating with patients in their preferred language.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and meeting new people.
Armita Seyednajafi – Optometric Assistant
Meet Armita, our dedicated pre-tester! She moved to Calgary at the age of nine and has called the city home for the past 11 years. Currently a second/third year student at the University of Calgary, Armita is pursuing a double major with the goal of attending law school.
Having worn glasses from a young age, Armita has spent much of her life in eye clinics, making optometry a field she’s been familiar with since childhood. Her curiosity about the process behind eye care is what led her to join our team, where she’s eager to learn what goes on behind the scenes.
In her spare time, Armita enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her niece and nephew. She’s an avid reader and loves to explore the outdoors, especially during the fall. Baking is one of her favorite stress-relievers, and she’s always excited to try out new recipes.
Armita is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment—whether she’s at the front desk or in the pre-exam room. Here’s an enhanced version. Her priority is ensuring every patient feels comfortable and leaves with a better understanding of their eye health.
Tayler Tomlinson – Office Manager
Meet Tayler, Our Office Manager! Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Tayler now calls Calgary home, where she’s settled with her husband and children. Her journey into the world of optometry began after relocating, when an unexpected opportunity sparked a new passion and changed the course of her career.
As someone who has worn glasses from a young age, Tayler understands firsthand the vital role they play in everyday life. While you may not often catch her wearing them (thanks to her trusty contact lenses), rest assured she’s seeing you crystal-clear!
When she’s not managing the office or caring for patients, Tayler loves spending quality time with her family outdoors, biking and skateboarding. However, with Calgary’s colder months, you’ll also find her cozying up indoors, hunting for the next great movie.
Tayler’s mission is to make sure every visit to Carrington Optometry is comfortable and enjoyable, offering the best care and attention to all our patients.
